A telegram from King Sausage Fingers has arrived at CCM HQ congratulating the Saturday Shuffle on its 100th post.
The champagne has been drunk, the streamers have been thrown and the balloons have been burst. All that is left is the music.
We start appropriately with some legends - Bob Marley and the Wailers with the legendary Could You Be Loved.
In a better and fairer world Martin Stephenson and the Daintees would also be considered legends. They certainly have that status at CCM HQ. Here they are with Loui's a song about their favourite cafe in Sunderland.
The Killer himself is a legend in both Country and Rock'n' Roll. Jerry Lee Lewis may also be in the running in the Blues genre given his Mean Woman Blues. This is his debut on this series although he has appeared on the previous similar series Saturday Lucky Dip back in in 2015 with this very song
I wonder what the odds on the 101'ers popping up on next week's Shuffle?
Here's to the next 100
Bob Marley & the Wailers - Could You Be Loved
Oops I seem to have missed out Jerry Lee!
ReplyDeleteWill rectify that later

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 100. Sorry I've been absent of late but I'll be checking in to see what post 101 brings us. Fate may well smile on you.
ReplyDeleteHappy 100th, CC! And I don’t think the shuffle has ever dipped below excellent. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteNow, for next week, these lovely Scottish lads have got to get a look in, surely?!
